The spirit of Rotary was on full display on December 21 as members of the Rotary Club of Del Rio crossed the border to share the warmth of the holiday season with families in two Colonias. Carrying more than just food, blankets, and toys, these Rotarians delivered hope, compassion, and the true meaning of service during a time when it is needed most.

This meaningful effort was made possible through the strong and growing partnership between the Rotary Club of Del Rio and the Rotary Club of Acuña. Together, Rotarians worked side by side to bring comfort and joy to families, reminding us all that kindness transcends borders and that service is a universal language.

Special recognition goes to Rotary District 5840 DGE Robert Martinez and his wife Denise, whose dedication and leadership helped strengthen this cross-border collaboration. Their commitment reflects the very best of Rotary—building relationships, fostering unity, and creating lasting impact through service.

This project stands as a powerful example of what can be achieved when Rotarians come together with a shared purpose. It is a testament to Rotary’s mission of Service Above Self and a reminder that when we unite for good, we can brighten lives and bring hope wherever it is needed.
