New This Year for Rotaractors

Rotaract Awards

This year we will be emphasizing the importance of Rotaract clubs. We’re excited to announce two new award categories for Districts with Rotaract clubs:

  1. Future Focused with Rotaract: This will be awarded to the District that brings the most Rotaract members to RZI21. This award signifies a commitment to the future of Rotary by empowering future Rotary members. Rotaractors must be registered by August 15 and attend event to be considered. Only ticket options 1 & 2 outlined above are eligible to be considered for this award. Friday luncheon tickets are not counted.

  2. Most Impactful Rotaract Project: This will be awarded to both the individual Rotaract club and their District. Rotarians and Rotaractors can nominate a specific Rotaract club project executed over the July 2020 - July 2021 year. A panel of judges will determine the winner based on the overall impact of the project.

Rotaract Events

We’re excited to share that we will have two events specially designed for Rotaract members, on top of the incredible programming open to all attendees.

  1. Rotaract Connections | Friday, Sept. 10  |  9PM: Meet fellow Rotaractors after programming has come to a close for happy hour and fun on Friday, September 10.

  2. Rotaract Roundtable | Saturday, Sept. 11 | 3:30-5:00PM: Attend an exclusive Rotaract Roundtable event on Saturday, September 11. This program is designed to give Rotaract members a platform to share ideas and resources with one another.

Exclusive Leadership Training Track

Every year, incoming District leaders come to the Rotary Institute to learn how to best fulfill their duties as Rotary leaders. This intensive training is done prior to the main event, which starts Friday at noon.

Rotaractor Ambassadors will have the opportunity to learn alongside District leadership in areas like District Governor Elect, Foundation, Public Image, and Membership. Not only will they experience a training program very few have access to, but they will have incredible networking opportunities with top Rotary leadership.

*Note: please contact us before purchasing your ticket if you are specifically interested in the District Governor Elect or District Governor Nominee training track: district5950rotaract@gmail.com

Late Ticket Price Increases

Ticket prices increase by $50 starting on August 15. Hotel room rates may also go up after this point, as well airfare expenses. Book early!

Lodging

It’s recommended that all attendees stay at the Royal Sonesta Houston Galleria where the event is being held. See more details and reserve your room under the event block here. Staying at the hotel is important because many connections are made outside of the programming and event, just by being in the same space.

Need Help Paying for the 2021 Rotary Institute?

An event like this can get expensive, with the ticket cost, lodging, and travel to cover. We get it! But for an inspirational event that will light the fire in your soul, it’s worth going the extra mile and getting help. Here are four ways we recommend getting help in covering the cost.
